A Letter From Our President
Welcome to Spiralight Network and our advanced fiber optic network providing optical transport services in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota and soon to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and to Iowa. Our current network consists of two fiber rings in Wisconsin with dual paths to Minneapolis and Chicago. We are in the process of adding additional POPs in our Northern Ring and for our path to Iron Mountain, Michigan. With this build our network will consist of 1400 network miles of fiber and 14 POPs.
The SpiraLight Network platform consists of a Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) utilizing CISCO 15454 boxes for add/drop capability at the POPs. Services provided include Lightwave, SONET, Ethernet, Fast/GIG E and basic TDM. SpiraLight owns fiber huts along the Interstate Highway between Minneapolis and Chicago and has 100% control over access to these sites. The SpiraLight NOC monitors all SpiraLight’s facilities 24/7/365 and has trained technicians to respond to any emergency.
Our network team consists of over 200 years of experience in fiber, network and wireless experience. SpiraLight currently provides backhaul from over 200 cell sites in Wisconsin and is adding more every month. We also provide internet access to students on two University of Wisconsin campuses, the City of Madison, and to a number of internet resellers. SpiraLight blends the internet access from at least three Tier One providers to insure trouble-free access to the Internet.
SpiraLight Network is proud of its ability to offer flexible terms and competitive pricing while avoiding the “tariff” hassles of many companies. Our customers can make changes to their network on short notice and have the benefit of working directly with our highly skilled engineering staff. On-NET services can often be turned up on short notice. SpiraLight Network has interconnecting agreements with many other carriers to allow nationwide connectivity as well as local loops.
