A Letter From Our President
Welcome to Spiralight Network and our advanced fiber optic network providing optical transport services in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota. We recently purchased the assets of Lightpoint Networks
in early 2007. Lightpoint's original network was a 324 mile linear fiber network that ran from
Minneapolis to Madison and then into Chicago. This linear network lacked redundancy. Since the completed acquisition in early January of 2007 we have made numerous network improvements. We immediately improved our network capacity utilizing Zhone Technologies optic and Cisco electronic equipment. We completed the first phase of our network expansion plan by completing a Sonet OC-48 ring connecting Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago and Rock adding capacity and redundancy to our network.
Currently, we are in phase two of our network expansion with a build from Madison to Green Bay.
This will allow us to serve customers in the Fox Valley area as well as in the Green
Bay Metro area. With our existing network from Green Bay to Minneapolis we will be able to provide an additional redundant northern ring on our network. With this build complete our network will consist of 1,250 network miles with 52 points of presence.
Our management team is comprised of over 100 years of telephony, network and
wireless experience. Loren Lamphear, Dan Matson and Kevin Kane are tremendously talented and knowledgeable individuals. We have aggressively aligned ourselves with key companies with our industry to better serve our customer needs. Spiralight is very excited about our future and the direction of the fiber transport industry.
In addition to fiber transport services we also offer internet access services and low cost last mile solutions. We pride ourselves on sound cost-efficient solutions for our customers’ particular needs and our ability to quickly quote and implement these solutions for them.
Our board of directors is comprised of independent telephone companies and board
members with a wealth of telecommunication knowledge, experience and vision. Their support and fiscal soundness will pave the path to our future network expansions.
